Grammy 2019: ‘This is America’, ‘Golden Hour’ e ‘Shallow’

A noite começou com uma performance super animada de Camila Cabello, Ricky Martin e J Balvin. Depois, Alicia Keys chamou algumas “amigas” para oficialmente abrir a cerimônia. A apresentadora do Grammy 2019 trouxe Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett, Jennifer Lopez e Michelle Obama ao palco para falar um pouco sobre o amor universal à música.

Os grandes ganhadores da noite foram Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa e Kacey Musgraves.

“This is America” foi o primeiro rap da história a ganhar o Grammy de Melhor Gravação, totalizando quatro estatuetas para Childish Gambino. Dua Lipa levou o Grammy de Artista Revelação, Kacey Musgraves ganhou Álbum do Ano por “Golden Hour” e Lady Gaga conseguiu 3 prêmios, incluindo Performance Pop por “Shallow”.

Cardi B também fez história, sendo a primeira mulher a ganhar o Grammy de Melhor Álbum de Rap. Ela ficou surpresa e muito emocionada ao subir no palco para agradecer.

Drake também foi um dos pontos altos da noite. O rapper apareceu de surpresa para receber o Grammy de Melhor Música de Rap e, apesar de sua fala ter sido interrompida, seu discurso arrancou elogios de todos. “Se há pessoas cantando suas músicas palavra por palavra, se você é um herói na sua cidade, se você tem alguém que trabalha e gasta dinheiro e tempo para comprar um ingresso para te ver ao vivo, então você já ganhou, não precisa disso aqui”, disse apontando para a estatueta.

O Grammy 2019 definitivamente foi das mulheres. Inclusive, Ariana Grande ganhou seu primeiro Grammy por Melhor Álbum Pop Vocal, com “Sweetener”. Desde a apresentadora, passando pelas homenageadas e as premiadas. A 61ª edição da premiação foi marcada por discursos mais amenos e com mensagens de esperança e união, sem alfinetadas ou situações desconfortáveis durante a transmissão.

A cerimônia foi repleta de performances extraordinárias e bem ecléticas, de todos os estilos:

• Tivemos Shawn Mendes e Miley Cyrus cantando o single do canadense “In My Blood”.
• Post Malone e Red Hot Chilli Peppers se juntando para cantar “Dark Necessities”, “Stay” e “Rockstar”.
• Kacey Musgraves, Katy Perry, Little Big Town, Maren Morris e Miley Cyrus fizeram uma homenagem ao ícone country Dolly Parton.
• Janelle Monae arrasou em uma performance de “Make Me Feel”, com coreografia, instrumentais e vocais impecáveis.
• Cardi B também foi um dos highlights da noite, cantando “Money”.
• Travis Scott cantou “Stop Trying to Be God” e “No Bystanders”
• Diana Ross, aos 75 anos, cantou algumas de suas músicas para “comemorar” seu aniversário. A eterna diva foi ovacionada de pé por todos da plateia.
• St. Vincent e Dua Lipa cantaram suas canções “Masseduction” e “One Kiss”.
• O novíssimo duo Chloe x Halle, assinado pela gravadora de Beyoncé, impressionou em uma performance vocalmente perfeita de “Where Is The Love”, homenageando o falecido Donny Hathaway.
• H.E.R. também deu o que falar, com uma performance incrível de sua música “Hard Place”.
• Um dos melhores momentos da noite foi, sem dúvida, o tributo de Jennifer Lopez ao estilo Motown. Com Ney Yo no piano e Smokey Robinson ajudando nos vocais, J Lo dava mortais e dançava em cima do piano com uma energia contagiante.
• E não é que tivemos “Shallow”? Lady Gaga decidiu cantar a queridinha da noite, porém acompanhada dos próprios compositores nos instrumentais.
• Dan + Shay fizeram um ótimo trabalho cantando seu single “Tequila”.
• Brandi Carlile arrasou nos vocais de sua canção “The Joke”, assim como Kacey Musgraves ao cantar “Rainbow”.
• Perto do final da cerimônia, Yolanda Adams, Fantasia e Andra Day se juntaram no palco para um tributo à Rainha do Soul, Aretha Franklin. As três cantaram “(You Make Me Feel) Natural Woman”.
• Alicia Keys fez um medley, tocando dois pianos ao mesmo tempo. A apresentadora da noite falou um pouco sobre a evolução de um compositor, aprendendo a tocar as suas músicas favoritas, até que chega o momento em que “você finalmente compõe aquela canção que sempre quis compor”. De Roberta Flack à Kings Of Leon, passando por Coldplay até chegar em seu single “New York State Of Mind”, o medley foi um dos melhores momentos da noite.
